Not nearly enough math in it for a movie called “The Accountant”

634 blowjobs in 5 days amounts to an average of 126.8 blowjobs per day. Assuming Erin goes around town giving BJs for 14 hours a day (leaving 10 hours for sleeping, eating, getting ready, etc), this averages out to 9.06 blowjobs per hour. This leaves 6.62 minutes for each blowjob, not factoring in the travel time between locations. So, it’s likely that the average blowjob time would be below 5 minutes per blowjob.

Lots has been said about this show already, but this particular exchange from episode 3 stood out for me:

My question, Jamie, is why do you have an Instagram account?

    What? I… I need one.

    Why?

To look at other people’s accounts. You can’t if you haven’t got one.

The Instagram landscape has been steadily deteriorating over the years (ads, algorithmic feed design, reels). The type of shit that kids are exposed to is so vile and effective at indoctrination, and the design of apps like Instagram work as social reinforcement mechanisms. Episode 3 will haunt me for a while.

unpopular opinion time! this film was entirely forgettable for me. yes, it’s impressive what tarantino was able to do with such a limited budget in his directorial debut, but overall, it felt like a hollow piece of work. another letterboxd user wrote “he’s too self-indulgent to make anything worthwhile, but skilled enough to entertain you while he’s got you. which i said, isn’t long,” which is exactly how i feel about reservoir dogs. yea it’s an interesting premise and all,…
