Really bold for a Disney film, with zero sugarcoating the cruelty of Frolo and all the townspeople. Had me feeling all sorts of ways, and it's one of the funnier Disney movies I have seen thus far. Very impressed.

The Godfather 1972
There’s a reason why Francis Ford Copolla’s “The Godfather” is so universally adored. For the average viewer, they will be engrossed in the feudal conflict between gangs making for beautifully tense moments, while your average critic will praise the film for its fantastic characters, rich dialogue, and brilliant lighting and saturation that makes every scene feel like a dark Da Vinci painting come to life. While I find the movie struggles slightly with introducing and establishing characters towards the end, “The Godfather” is undoubtedly one of the greatest films ever made.

Joaquin Phoenix is great, lots of shallow focus shots allow the movie to focus on its main character well, and the score makes every scene feel tense. However, some scenes are forced and try to make more mundane moments feel climactic which only takes away from later scenes. Besides that and a tonal problem around halfway through the film, “Joker” is great.
