Exactly what can be expected from Marvel as of late. The movie tried but barely carried any emotional weight whatsoever- the plot and thus character development was rushed and and pretty superficial. Personally, the first two acts were relatively fun, but this movie fell apart in the third act. What ever happened to show, not tell? Plot lines were rushed through via quick lines of dialogue and some weren’t explained at all. Predictable plot, lackluster “boss battle,” and what happened…

A jumbled mess that clearly left a lot on the cutting room floor. Hamfisted exposition and severely lackluster acting by most of the cast was saved only by the movie’s visuals. It says a lot when the best actor in the movie is a child (Madeleine Yuma Voyles). This would have worked much better as a limited series where the world was built naturally and not explained bluntly in one-off lines. The best sequence was a battle scene that likens back to Edwards’ ‘Rogue One,’ but fell flat in the context of the rest of the film.
