Sidelined: The QB and Me 2024
ok yk what for what this was i actually enjoyed it. like we all knew that it would be cringy and not exactly top tier film making (montage lasted 3 seconds, “i love u” after 5minutes, bad drunk acting, throwing exposition at my head) so i had my expectations low. but honestly even with all of that i enjoyed it🤷♀️🤷♀️ easy to follow, had some interesting character flaws/concepts.
did genuinely laugh when they tried to up their wokeness by x100 when the brother was gay for about 1.3 seconds. wattpads fight for inclusivity is actually inspiring

i didn’t like this play very much so i alr knew i wasn’t gonna love the actually plot/themes/etc of it. however(!!!) kenneth makes some very cool directorial choices that i luuuuuuuvvvvvv like COLOUR(!!!!!!!!), hamlet as a martyr (jesus & crucifix), and that king hamlets statue was torn down at the end.
so honestly surprisingly high rating for not even liking the play in the first place.
the confidence to cast yourself (a grown, 40yr old adult man) as the NINETEEN YEAR…
