Terrifier 2 2022
The most terrifying part of this movie is the run time.
Great foreshadowing is when I turn to my friend (who had fallen asleep) and said “this dream sequence has gone on long enough!” 😭
I did say “thank god, I thought this scene may have got scrapped” when I saw the credits finally roll. To my ~terror~, the movie started again. With a very long post-credit scene.

My friend suggested this and I went in blind. Did not expect a favorite (can’t emphasize that enough) movie to come out of it. If Letterboxd had one more “favorites” slot, this movie would be there. Imagine every single teenage struggle wrapped up into an aesthetically pleasing, feel great, dramedy. And as a closeted (not really I’m insufferable) Francophile, it tickled the French region of my brain so good.

Reminded me of the really spectacular student productions at university, but in the best way. It had that uniquely created, high intellect aesthetic, personal thesis feel those productions evoked. I thought it was really clever about using the world it was in, but with a twist. Very stylistic way of playing to the thesis
