Gladiator II 2024
Absolutely a film to watch at the cinema (not 4dx though). Lots of call backs to the first film, I didn’t want to compare this to the first at all. Massive battles and Denzel 👏

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012
A rewatch after 12 years, I was harsh the first watch.
Middle Earth is alive in this motion picture. We’re as far away from this movie as itself was from the Fellowship.
The CGI still holds up but it’s very reliant on it, that aside, the scenery and soundtrack whisks you away.
Peter Jackson still has his magic in this but the story is stretched a bit for a trilogy.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002
After not watching it in full for over a decade.
This film is a beautiful sequel and definitely stands the test of time. The soundtrack, the set pieces and the jokes (comedic relief isn’t over done and fits well in the scenarios).
Even knowing all the lines (and memes), I’m still taken away from reality and put into middle earth.
