purely style over substance, a decent message about institutional sexual abuse of women not explored at all. the most predictable and cliche plot twists you could ever imagine (except for the reveal that frida had been at the island before, that was good). incredibly incredibly boring for the first 60% and incredibly cliche after that and the #girlboss ending makes the whole movie collapse on itself. one star just for the performances of naomi ackie, channing tatum, and adria arjona (phenomenal!)
