  while the movie is filmically great, I'll have to agree with most other reviewers that this movie puts a way too heavy focus on Bill O'Neal, rather than the Black Messiah himself, Fred.

  regardless, im happy that Fred and the Panthers were, for the most part, shown in a positive light, despite the mainstream villification of the Panthers
