I've watched this movie in 2022 I'd say at least 15 times. It's an amazingly simple film in the grand scheme of things but is executed so god damn well.
There is 3 different cuts of the film, I'd start with the theatrical release, then the Cannes cut and finally the Dario Argento cut. The Argento cut definitely is a lesser movie with some very good scenes being cut and the whole editing is a bit wild but the sound track is amazing.
I will forever love this film and it's behind the scenes

I never enjoyed the original Clover field movie as I'm not a fan of found footage movies. I remember when this film was first announced it was announced the same day as the trailer and my god the premise seemed so good.
I watched it opening weekend with hardly anyone in the cinema. It was a really great film up until the last act with the aliens. This film would have been so much better if no aliens were in it at all but that's what you get with JJ, he'll take a great film or franchise and just mash it with other concepts.

A rare time a sci-fi movie is released and instantly becomes a classic among the great likes of The Day The Earth Stood Still and Star Wars.
It makes you feel smart even if you didn't predict the "twist" or see it coming at all.
