Saw this while browsing my watchlist a short movie to watch. Imagine it: a franchise starter under two hours. Inconceivable just 25 years later. I’m probably overrating it but I really enjoyed this movie. It handles starting in the middle and introducing it’s large character gallery extremely well, it balances realism and comicbookyness extremely well, the effects, practical and CGI, look great, great visual language, tight writing, wonderful small scale. Plus, what other superhero movie you know is built around the Holocaust? Plus plus, rare 2000s Twin Towers skyline in movie.
