Joker is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant genre of movies with some clever presentation and a wonderful soundtrack Joaquin Phoenix is able to make you forget that he’s just Travis bickle 2.0. My only gripes is the need to connect everything to the Wayne’s its minor but I feel a character study that stands on its on two legs without any need for cinematic universe bullshit would be a lot better

i loved everything about midsommar except the plot all the symbolism just falls flat on its head because a lot of it just never explained and thus doesn’t have any meaning
coupled with a slow buildup and a unsatisfiying ending it just ends up being a really pretty movie to admire but not engaging

this movie tricks you into watching a 2-hour movie because of neat cinematography and a vaguely interesting story. unfortunately, while being very ambitous it falls flat it in every other aspect. andrew garfield character is so uninteresting I found it extremely hard to even sympathize or care about him. overall extremely ehhh
