I started this film expecting to just enjoy 2 hours of nice artsy nostalgia inducing camcorder footage telling a story that didn’t have much going on but holy shit did I get sucked into their relationship and holy shit did I leave the cinema with a tear or two down my cheeks.
The foreshadowing and the way the film keeps making you feel like something dreadful is about to happen and then brings you right back is incredible. The darkness…

I thought this was very fun and struggle to see what more can be wanted from a family/kids film. I especially enjoyed the character kip and finished this film wishing he was my uncle or other such fun relative who I could keep at arms length and see two maybe three times a year.
