This film was incredible at creating suspense. It feels inescapable (like prison!?). Every moment, every turn of the periscope, every knock at the door, seems like disaster is just around the corner. It ALWAYS feels like something is going to happen, and I think it lulled me into a false sense of security that way. Up until the end, everything miraculously worked out (claude how could you!!!!!!).
