Mickey 17 2025
Interesting seeing Bong Joon Ho go full blockbuster. Pattinson is about as fun as he’s ever been, and everyone else brings the heat too. Some of the choices toward the end fall a bit flat for me, but this is in contrast to how original the rest of the movie is. I still can’t imagine many other directors making something quite like this

After finally getting around to this, it did not disappoint. Jesse, Andrew, and (maybe a bit surprisingly) Justin Timberlake completely disappear into these roles, which is especially impressive when it is real life people being depicted. A huge part of that is of course the writing from Aaron Sorkin. I know it’s cool nowadays to hate on the “sorkin style” but when it works, it is mesmerizing.
