  It’s hard not to love this movie. Rocky is one of the all time great film characters, and this movie is such a beautiful exploration of his struggle to finally make something of himself. I love to watch his relationship with Adrian develop, as there is something so innocent about his feelings for her (and her for him). Carl Weathers also looks like he is having the time of his life in any scene he is in!

  Thor: Love and Thunder 2022

  I understand why some people have a problem with this movie. Love and Thunder is probably the most tonally distinct MCU film yet, very much following in the footsteps of Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. While most of the characters, Thor especially, are quite silly, the underlying ideas relating to fatherhood, good and evil, and forgiveness are anything but. Christian Bale’s Gorr was an excellent villain whose only flaw was not being in the movie nearly as much as he should have been. I love this movie, flaws and all (sometimes it’s flaws are actually it’s strengths for me), and a highly recommend it!
