The Curse of Frankenstein 1957
After watching the three series-starter Hammer pictures, I just don’t think they’re for me. This one, though, is my favorite, thanks to an interesting reshuffle on the classic story and a terrific performance from the great Peter Cushing (🤠). The design of the monster here is striking but it’s nowhere near as meaty a role for Christopher Lee as Dracula was.
