I don’t know why, but while I watched this I was heavily fixated on the imagery of camera lenses. Specifically within the movie we get constant shots of BIG tv camera lenses while Elizabeth and Sue do their shows. The tv filming scenes are shot like drug montages. The process of filming, the process of stardom, is given the same level of intensity and energy as something like the heroine scenes in requiem for a dream or the meth cooking…
