The Iron Claw 2023
Troy Bolton and Carmy are ridiculously wham in this but I was able to take my eyes off the meaty men to fall in love with the beautifully poetic tragedy Sean Durkin has painted here. Truly kicks you into the depression pit and just when you thought it couldn’t get any deeper… yep. It was great to see such an untouched era of professional wrestling explored on screen, especially when entangled with themes such as family and legacy that often play such a key part in the business. Headline reads - film guy likes A24 film… shocker I know.
