Fun and funny, although up and down throughout. The third act is great - I’m Just Ken might be the best song in a movie since Shallow. First act was fun but second act was bad. Almost by definition a lot of the patriarchy/feminism stuff would hit harder for women. The Mattel company stuff was bad and had no consistency. I’m not sure the self awareness of those parts offset how shitty the corporate tie ins feel.
Margot Robbie was really really good. Ryan Gosling was amazing, legitimately might be his best role.
