This made me cry. The weight of society's systemic homophobia cannot be borne by those 13 year olds who've just become acquainted with it. The reaction of Léo to the main event is realistic: things bubble deep under its head but he doesn't have the words for it. When he finally finds courage, it doesn't feel cathartic, the lid of social expectations still hasn't been lifted. That felt true.
