Poor Things 2023
A bit derivative. Felt very pretentious for the message it was trying to get across. Bonus points for creativity and originality but ? 🤔 Only experiencing the world through loads of sex and lack of mannerly restraint seems a bit shallow in terms of defining the human experience. If it wasn’t for the whimsical setting and costumes and style, it wouldn’t be nearly as interesting. I don’t know. Maybe it was lost on me. Felt like an adult demo of a very horny Lemony Snicket novel.
