A Real Pain 2024
This was such a comfort watch. Despite having its darkness it’s always treated closely with humour and levity. Eisenberg and Culkin worked greatly together and I feel like travelling!
Walking out of the film I couldn’t make my mind up if the film is one to rewatch because it’s such a comfort-watch. Or if for the same reason you don’t need to rewatch it. Either way it delivered on what it promised and I sure am happy I got to see it just before the Oscars ceremony!

The Brutalist 2024
Great addition to add the intermission because I did not feel the runtime that bad. It’s an impressive movie which has me puzzled how they managed to make it with the budget it’s got.
Adrien Brody gives a dark and compelling portrayal of this tortured human. Felicity Jones is also stunning with some extremely strong scenes towards the end.
I do wish the story had more intrigue to it. Just to make the story feel more like it unfolded rather…

The Conversation 1974
Obviously I didn’t get it, considering my low score compared to many others. I’m open to that being the case. But honestly I thought this was an unbearably boring film. I almost fell asleep multiple times and I was really close to turning it off. I actually don’t get how I’m in the minority on this one. Awful experience.

There’s simply some things you don’t do with Bond… People who have seen the film will know the two things I’m thinking of.
To me Bond is pure escapism and a series of films which give you that childish playful feeling of wanting to be a secret agent. And that feeling is the exact same which made me want to do movies myself. I wanted to be as cool as James Bond.
