bro how was this made in 2009 man, dialogue has that distinct wes anderson flavour, witty. stop motion animation beautiful, lots of real models and practical effects. Deeper than grand budapest character arc wise, which is cool cus you can show this to a child and theyd have a completely different kind of experience to you but itd be positive all the same, gonna come back to this one so much

one of those movies that you wont come back to but reserve a space in your heart for, amikos eccentricism and idiosyncrasies dont mesh well with her surroundings, causing it to be subtext heavy including the end heavily due to her environment's unwillingness to address problems. Kana Osawa had a performance of a generation. Zany, awkward, tragic yet endearing, this one'll take a while to fade.
