The haunting of Hill House for me perfectly captures the mindset of an Uber anxious person, who assumes that everything will go wrong and that everyone hates them. The haunting has the difficult task of replicating this feeling in film. It has to pick up the pace due to the translation from novel to film, but absolutely keeps the same themes.
