damn this movie fucking sucked. i can barely remember why i ever thought it might be good, except that i was kind of curious to see shiny clean guadagnino take on something seamy and abject. probably should have left the theater after the third nirvana song, definitely should have left after the cgi started really kicking in. why did the ship ahoy look like a new bar in logan square? hour too long, and somehow too pretty and too ugly at the same time.
