Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is my favorite of the many apes movies. To me it feels the most human, and yet has the best action, CGI, and set pieces as well. The humans are the most memorable in this one, and we see their desperation firsthand, and I think Gary Oldman was very memorable as the human villain. Caesar's character is developed further and we see a lot of great stuff for him, the humans, and the apes in general here. The desperation and despair is captured perfectly, as well as the themes about revolution and change that Koba's storyline brings forth.

Unbreakable 2000
UNBREAKABLE is perhaps my favorite movie of all time, and is definitely my favorite out of M. Night Shyamalan's works.
