Not a good movie but I liked it. Small in scope, to the film’s advantage. The plot is bare bones and every beat is predictable, but the visual depiction of werewolfism is interesting and the pathos of a father trying to protect his family as he transforms into a monster more or less lands. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, in this film.
What an unpleasant and unneeded film. None of the charisma of the 90s original whole drearily plodding through the same story beats.
What an unsung gem, with music by Queen. Hadn’t seen it since I was 12 or so, thought it was underwhelming then, felt the same now. Coherent but boring 90s center right political allegory without enough of the classic Schwarzenegger one-liners.
