Proof the action serial isn't dead. Super fun and ridiculous in all the best ways. In on the joke without Ryan Reynolds having to explain it through a hole in the fourth wall.
A couple odd choices with camera cuts in dialogue but hey, worth it.

The Northman 2022
Beautiful and satisfying. Eggers' use of light and sound is eggcellent. Everything feels natural and cohesive, even in the longer takes.
The action/stunt choreography left something to be desired. All the fight sequences were simple, stilted and over-rehearsed. You can clearly see Skarsgard pulling punches in some scenes. This sits beyond a deliberate choice.
