  It’s impressive to have a movie driven solely on the dialogue of two characters. 

  I’m confused, though. Is Jesse supposed to be a shitty character, and Hawke is playing him well? Or would this be way better with Leo?

  This… was a slog. Boring, ‘intellectual’ garbage with its head so far up its own ass that it forces viewers to ‘admire its greatness’ by showing a long credits sequence in the title card.
