Enjoyable film, it was funny, heartwarming and satisfyingly gory. Despite parodying many other zombie films, it still made sure to take itself seriously when it needed to never undermining an emotional moment with a bad joke. The characters were great, a group of friends unprepared for an apocalypse, complete with the annoying antagonist needed to split the group apart. The foreshadowing was not subtle but still enjoyable, it seemed as if every other line towards the end was referencing something from the start. The ending was funny and sweet,not even the apocalypse could get Shaun and Ed to change.
Everything everywhere all at once is a film that relies heavily on its impressive special effects with almost 500 special effects shots, however surprisingly the majority of these were done by a team of just 5 people who, due to the relatively small budget, had to come up with innovative ways to achieve their desired affect. This reflects the film as a whole, which was packed with creativity and originality, often having to come up with creative solutions to make up for their lack of budget, for example in the scene where Jamie lee Curtis's character jumps towards…
