I Want You Back 2022
Definitely cheesy, but surprisingly good! Makes me upset that other low budget rom-coms aren’t better.
A mixture of good pacing, decent character development, a few genuine scenes, a Pete Davidson cameo, a handful of “just let them be funny” scenes, and a rather large sprinkle of purposeful awkward af encounters.

Monkey Man 2024
A classic story of revenge that is both beautiful and savage. Mostly shot hand held on a medium/tight lens which felt intimate and chaotic. The violence also felt more purposeful than a standard bloody revenge story.
10/10 cinematography.
Could it have been a 6 episode mini-series? Probably. But I think it was best as a 2 hour movie.
