Hitchcock's Vertigo is in many ways a film ahead of it's time. With a complex story revolving around two characters falling in love betwixt a staged murder attempt, Hitchcock accomplishes so much in the relationships between characters. Johnny and Madeleine both have unique experiences with death, and are either attracted or frightened to it in different ways.
