Alien: Covenant 2017
Ridley Scott was yelled at by a 33 year old CEO to get us to Alien faster. So he said “fuck it” and skipped over stuff from Prometheus and gave us a run of the mill alien movie that feels like a sequel no one asked for. Which is a shame bc the stuff that preceded it was ambitious (albeit flawed) and worth investigating more.
Also definitely a minority take on this one, but David annoys the fuck out of me here. Acts like a psycho child with daddy issues as opposed to an imperfect android
