  I had to go see this for a second time to really understand how I felt about it.
  And boy, do I feel good.

  I never understood the hate towards "fan service", what, you got what you wanted but apparently too directly? Honestly stupid.

  This film, while it may not have met my feelings towards what I wanted from the franchise, on it's own it felt well worth my time and attention.

  My first experience of seeing this movie was when I was 19 years old, in 2019, seeing it in a cinema for it's 40th anniversary.

  As soon as the Nostromo flew overhead at the beginning, I knew I was in for a good fucking time.

  Every shot is as methodical as the last. The slow burn is balanced constantly by the interest; the 'when is it coming?' versus the 'what is it?' in perfect harmony.
