I’ve seen some people saying it’s not really a good ‘theater’ movie but I disagree, i would say my theater experience definitely made it more worthwhile:p the social and political commentary, tone, complex/ morally ambiguous characters, story, and visuals all tell a rly good story and craft something i feel is pretty special. The world building / look is also beautiful, it drew me in and told me a lot without really telling me anything. This is by far my favorite movie of the year and i’m curious to see if it is going to stay that way, regardless i rly rly loved this movie.

The villain wasn’t even a villain and felt wasted, same thing for sidewinder. Just recently rewatched it for the millionth time but i love this movie so much i forget how much i love it until i rewatch it and then i fall in love all over again. Everything from the cinematography, soundtrack, cast, even the color-grading just meshes together so well and paints this perfect visual for the gritty-fantastical nonlinear crime drama it’s trying to convey. Also it feels like every part of this story is just LAYERED, and there is so much to uncover/ theorize about upon rewatches.
