  ramblings: kinda itching for the film to be campy-er, funny-er, ridiculous-er. the mix didn’t work quite well for me. they molded the persona to ronaldo, didn’t they?

  ramblings: i am probably not patient enough for introspective type films so i wasn’t too wild on this one. many people seem to have been touched by this movie but the impact to me was limited to the one sensual storytelling scene. i think that was minimalist but brilliant.

  liked: alain delon is so mesmerizing. one of a kind actor. also the italian sceneries are on point.
  ramblings: open water is so scary. i can’t believe people choose to go on small boats in the middle of the sea. i got stressed out when when tom is winging things and figuring out how to cover up sin after sin after sin. i never would survive the lies upon lies one has to build to cover…

  liked: the colours! the costumes and the set were also good which helped set the atmosphere and mood quite well. a lot of the story happens internally within the characters but it was clear enough, not like other movies where actors are “acting too subtly” which honestly leads me to confusion.
