joe pesci & cathy moriarty were incedible and both have excellent chemistry with de niro, but i was hypnotised by robert de niro’s performance the entire time. this is some of scorsese’s best storytelling!!

being in the wrong place at the wrong time can really change the trajectory of your entire life. i’m blown away. it was such a devastatingly beautiful film. i can’t remember ever watching a movie in this unique first person pov style of filming so it took a little while to adjust and fully engage, but once i did i was completely immersed. i’m sure its been done before but it’s actually a genius idea and really captures so perfectly…
