A TOTAL surprising cheeky fight fest! I thought this was going to be a straight to trashbin c-movie, but dir: James Madison feature debut not only benefits from smart visuals from DP Matt Flannery (The Raid) but also insane fight choreo by Brahim Chab (Monkey Man). This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Ugh... watching the newly formed chapter of the 'Aryan sisterhood' talk about their feelings before making an ill-advised home invasion on two Asian-American sisters is just all sorts of sick. You can call Beth de Araujo's upfront one-take debut a reflection of the ever emboldened racism in the US, but I'm not quite sure who this movie is made for. BIPOC totally know that there's fucked up shit being perpetrated towards them 24/7, do we need a movie where we give the perpetrators a voice? It's like the film just gave racists an instructional video in the end.
Nope. Not for me.Translated from by -
