Absolutely loved the first act of this movie before it abruptly changes pace when you get the full Nic Cage face reveal. His face is buried under so much makeup & prosthetic it hardly moves when he talks. It succeeds at making him unrecognizable & uncanny, but it gives him basically no range of expression throughout, which is a disappointment for a consummate maximalist performer like NC. There's one good scene of him shout-singing a song…
