This film is shot from the perspective of the Belarusians and the SSSR and depicts the advance of the Germans into the interior of the Soviet Union. It can be a hard watch for some people, but in my opinion, directors were just trying to capture the real horrors of the war in Belarus in 1943 (or just basically any war). I finally gave this movie a chance and i'm glad i did, i deeply resonated with one of the characters.. and that definitely opened my eyes even more and it dawned on me, that i cant be the same person anymore and i really have to work towards a change, if i ever want to experience love, even though I’m still not sure if thats possible haha.. definitely recommend asking someone, who has watched the movie, with whom they resonate more or who they think is the “villain” of the story, it can tell u a lot about that person
