    Strange Days...

I watched this movie with my cousins and we collectively made a checklist of moral, social, and taboo lines it would cross throughout our viewing.
And, HOO BOY, did Strange Days certainly check the BIGGEST boxes for sure.

An absinthe soaked fever dream of theatre kids doing theatre kid things while two of them try not to fall in love dancing and jamming out to a surprisingly impressive blend of hit popular songs expressed in an orchestrated, vaudevillian style.

I honestly didn't expect to get so many laughs out of this film but Robert De Niro (Jack Walsh) and Charles Grodin's (Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas) back-and-forth is fantastic.
That scene of them in Red's Corner Bar where Jonathan tries his impersonation of an FBI officer was hilarious.
The car chase in the desert made me laugh, too! The police crashing in ridiculous ways was top-tier, reminded me of…
