Strange Days...
I watched this movie with my cousins and we collectively made a checklist of moral, social, and taboo lines it would cross throughout our viewing.
And, HOO BOY, did Strange Days certainly check the BIGGEST boxes for sure.
Y'know, the ones that could make watching this movie seem like a chore at times (see the end of this review for the list)... BUT! bear with me for a sec because..

An absinthe soaked fever dream of theatre kids doing theatre kid things while two of them try not to fall in love dancing and jamming out to a surprisingly impressive blend of hit popular songs expressed in an orchestrated, vaudevillian style.

One of the best bromance, buddy-cop, road-trip comedies I've ever seen!
I honestly didn't expect to get so many laughs out of this film but Robert De Niro (Jack Walsh) and Charles Grodin's (Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas) back-and-forth is fantastic.
