This movie gives 'edgy university film students with too much access to drugs' vibes. Ah we best include a religious cult vibe but it'll make no sense and then what they do to the girls will relate to....cello playing. Also, the only way we can justify any resolution is by chopping hands off. There was no other rational way the characters could resolve this plot, gotta be amputees. Amputees everywhere.

Random nonsense. Anyone giving this a high rating is too focussed on applying a deep pretencious critique to see that the actual movie basics of this are pure tripe.

Originally gave this 2.5 stars and then with time found myself referencing it more and wanting more of the story. Ive changed the rating a few times now nudging the rating up as I see more modern horror making me realise this movie was actually really good.

So if you watched other 2020 and later horror, realise a lot is actually dross and not worth the hype Twitter gave it, then watch this.

Not really sure why everyone went nuts for this. Visually very good and the story is okay I guess. Besides that it drags in a way that doesn't build suspense. I felt zero tension in myself throughout. The plot became predictable as soon as she visits the mother.

The biggest let down was how people thought visually Long Legs is very scary and creepy. Dude just looks like Brett Michaels from the band Poison, or comedian Carrot Top.

It's okay, 2.5 stars okay worth a watch, but that's it. Certainly not this defining classic like everyone made out.

Took way way too long to get anywhere. If you're going to do 90 minutes of build then you need way better suspense and elements of breadcrumbing. Both were done extremely poorly.

Good ending, but ultimately feels like a bad black mirror episode painfully drawn out over 2 hours when 40 minutes could have done. Director could do with watching Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities to learn how short-form horror can be better than drawing it out. Just lacks suspense and intrigue until the last 20 mins or so.
