So hot, perfectly surreal. Love a lesbian movie where they don't get punished for being gay in some way. Also love a literal take on strong women. Felt this one in the body.

Mesmerizing, jarring, and at times made me shock in recognition. Felt super specific and unfamiliar one second then deeply universal the next. Visually jaw dropping in a way that had me absolutely confused how they could make it look like that. A piece of art more than a movie.

A Real Pain 2024
There are lots of things I liked about this movie. Highly contrasting main characters. Refreshing honesty, almost cringingly so, spoken in public. Beautiful shots of Poland that made me feel like I got to take a lucky lil trip I hadn't planned for. Emotional vulnerability sprinkled throughout the film, not saved up for one scene at the end. The topic of being a feeling person vs going numb to the world. Visually beautiful and complex without being overly complicated.

Moonrise Kingdom 2012
Love Wes Andersen doing a complex lives of tweens. Stylistically this movie rocks. Its so viscerally awkward and confident at the same time. All the characters also felt like they had depth to them, even the adults that were less the focus of the film. Not usually a huge Wes Andersen fan but have and will rewatch this one.
