Barbie 2023
At 3 hours long, this movie feels extremely well-paced. The performances are amazing, the non-linear structure makes for really interesting storytelling, and the sound design is incredible, especially in IMAX. Wouldn’t say it’s perfect, but I highly recommend it if you like historical dramas.

I had a feeling I would end up liking this movie going in and it didn’t disappoint. The production design and visuals are extremely creative, the satirical comedy is great for the most part, and aside from being a little too on-the-nose for my taste at times, the commentary is handled quite well. I don’t think its message is nearly as one-dimensional as some describe it. Lived up to the hype imo.
