The black comedies of the 80s are just top-tier. There are so very few good ones anymore and Heathers is so fantastic. Veronica's monocle and her insane diary writing always get me to laugh. He's such an annoying, angsty teen. The themes of power, conformity, homophobia, teenage suicide,…
“Gentlemen! You can’t fight in here! This is the war room!” -President Muffley
“You’re sorrier than I am, but I am as sorry as well…I am as sorry as you are, Dmitri! Don’t say that you’re more sorry than I am, because I’m capable of being just as sorry as you are…So we’re both sorry, all right?” -President Muffley to the Soviet Premier (lol)

I am pretentious AND I was born in the wrong era AND I would give anything to have seen this in the theater for the first time AND I will fight anyone who slanders this movie AND it was genius to have Drew Barrymore on all the promotional material AND I do not answer phone calls from strangers for a reason.
