One of the most surprising I've seen in a long time. Did not see the true crime part coming. The score was harrowing and the cinematography was so beautiful. The creepiness of the mask, the circus, and the candy store all together make this movie so creepy and memorable.

Handling the Undead 2024
First off, I haven't read the book so my criticism may be of the book mostly. The movie was beautifully shot with such a beautiful score that perfectly follows the theme of loss and humanity. Renate Reinsve gives an insanely good performance with the scenes between her and the boy being some of the most heartbreaking scenes I've seen in a while. Beautiful depictions of loss and sickness.
Now, why would they completely disrupt the movie with a cheap gimmick…

Jules and Jim 1962
Beautiful scenes and shots present throughout the film such as the bridge scene and the scene with the three guys wearing their carsigans. My original complaint was how slow it was after WW1 but I feel like that was intentional but not sure why. Was an ok movie definitely not one of my favorites of the French new wave but will probably rewatch later on.
