Whiplash 2014
This movie does really well at building so much tension between the characters. The fear, anxiety but also drive and passion from the musicians can be felt through the whole film and Fletcher is like a stern dad at best and a wild animal at worst. You never know when he’ll explode at one of his students or for what reason but they all respect him so much. It makes the final scene feel like our hero is facing off against a dragon. It’s a good story about passion and motivation but also stress and abuse. Fun times 4.5/5
