  I watched this from our rental during evacuation from Altadena’s Eaton Fire. First movie following breakout of fire.

  The structure makes only a little sense but the thing is gorgeous, the premise is solid (thanks to the source material) and character work world class. Mann is less interested in how sexy Petersen is than Friedkin; still a good amount of sprinting after leads. Good re-entry into film world with the chaos in Altadena. Whew.
