you're kitten me with this ending...
If justice were served we would've gotten a 3rd Cat People in 2022, it would've starred Anya and she would've embraced her feline persona and reached inner/outer balance. Instead we got a bad adaptation of Night Bitch.

A Little Princess 1995
One of the foundational films from my childhood. The mid 90's produced some truly immaculate period pieces and Cuarón certainly treated this story with care. Eleanor Bron brings life and even a moment of pathos to one of the most despicable characters even written. Sets amazing, costumes incredible. Childish storytelling and imagination not discarded as escapist but shown as fortification; nourishment during hardship.
