  Charming and true. Although I don’t think you could make a convincing case for Licorice Pizza being Anderson’s best work, for someone unfamiliar with his films this would be the PTA gateway drug par excellence. I think I’ll be recommending it a lot. And Alana Haim!! All the multigenerational Haims for that matter!! So good.

  Regency Theater in Westwood, 70mm. Apparently Paul Anderson himself and Alana Haim were scheduled to be at the evening showtime right after the matinee I attended. Alas, did not see them.
